This is a list of when the White House has featured on film.

Warner Bros set[]

A replica White House set was built by J. Michael Riva for the 1993 film Dave. It was built on Stage 18 at Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, CA. [1] It was reused for many other films and TV shows.

Culver Studios set[]

Another White House set was built at Culver Studios by Lilly Kilvert for the 1995 film The American President, owned by Castle Rock Entertainment. [5]

After Castle Rock was acquired by Warner Bros, the production designers of The West Wing were able to dismantle the set and salvage pieces of it for their show. They used the Oval Office and Mural Rooms intact from that set. It was initially built in Stages 18 & 19 of the Warner Bros. Lot, but from Season 2 onwards they moved it to the newly built Stage 29. Cinespace Film Studios set[]

A White House set was built by Nelson Coates for the 1997 film Murder at 1600 in Cinespace Film Studios in Kleinburg, as Absolute Power was occupying the Warner Bros. set at the time.

Lassen Street set[]

For the TV show 24, the 2nd Season featured a fictional bunker beneath the White House, built in their Canoga Avenue studio in Woodland Hills. For the 4th Season, they had moved to a studio at 21050 Lassen St. in Chatsworth, and production designer Joseph Hodges built some White House corridors as well as another fictional bunker. For the 6th and 7th Seasons, more of the White House was built including the Oval Office.

Sony set[]

The White House situation room, as well as some other corridor pieces, were built on Stage 25 of the Sony Pictures Lot for the film Air Force One. [8]
